Firefighters have spent several hours tackling a large moorland blaze which broke out near Porlock this afternoon.
Emergency services were alerted to reports of a glow in the distance from people on Porlock Hill at around 4.40pm.
Crews from Minehead, Nether Stowey and Porlock attended the scene and confirmed that a fire involved gorse and was spreading up the hill.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the blaze involved around four acres of tall gorse.
This evening, crews continue to tackle the fire using beaters, a hose reel jet and ground hogs.
