Firefighters extinguished a car ablaze on the A303 at the Podmiore roundabout near Sparkford.
Crews from Castle Cary and Wincanton wearing breathing sets used two hose reels to extinguish the flames at 12.25pm today.
The car suffered 50 per cent damage. The cause is thought to be accidental.
