Artist Sheila Broun has been signed up to teach drawing at the Victoria Hall in Radstock.
Mrs Broun, who lives in the town, has taught art and design education since 1975.
She taught drawing and textiles at Wakefield College for 21 years, colour and contextual studies at Leeds Metropolitan University for 18 years, and is regularly requested to work as a guest lecturer in universities across the country.
Mrs Broun, who states that she can teach anyone to draw, will run two courses from the hall, one specifically for beginners and another for established sketchers.

Artistic director of the Victoria Hall, George Hill, said "We are thrilled to welcome Sheila into our facility. I was delighted when she came forward to us a couple of months ago with the idea of offering these great courses.
"Exposing locals to quality diverse activities such as this is exactly what the Victoria Hall is about."
