Police have confirmed that a traffic collision in Crewkerne this morning resulted in the death of a male biker.
Crews responded to reports of a motorcyclist involved in a crash with a property wall and police are now appealing for witnesses.
A spokesman for the police said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Station Road at about 9.15am today (Friday).
"A motorcyclist was in collision with the wall of a builders yard, his bike appearing to burst into flames following the impact.
"The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene shortly afterwards.
"We are appealing for witnesses - anyone able to help is asked to contact the force's collision investigation unit on 101."
