Craig Kieswetter and Alfonso Thomas have been named in Somerset's squad for today's YB40 trip to Truro to face Unicorns.
Both players came through training yesterday unscathed and are now back in contention for Somerset after injury lay-offs.
Kieswetter has not featured since breaking his thumb in late April, while Thomas injured his hamstring last month.
But both returned to training on Monday and completed a full session yesterday, proving their fitness sufficiently to be included a 14-man squad for today's game in Cornwall (1.45pm).
Director of cricket Dave Nosworthy said: "They are both in the squad. Thommo has had a bowl and Craig has had a bat, so they are in the 14 travelling to Truro.
"We just have to wait and see how they front up in the morning, after a tough training session. But we are very hopeful that both of them will play at least one of the games this weekend – and hopefully both."
After today's Group C game, Somerset host Leicestershire at Taunton in the same competition on Sunday.
And Nosworthy is delighted to welcome two of his frontline players back ahead of two key games for Somerset in the context of their YB40 group.
"It's always good to have players of their quality available," he said. "It has been frustrating for both of them, but particularly for Craig as he's been out a little longer than Thommo.
"But they're in the squad again, they're full of energy and they're excited about being back in the mix. We just need to make sure they're both 100 per cent before they get on the park."
After winning all three of their home matches so far in the YB40, and losing two of their three games on the road, Nosworthy knows where his side must improve if they are to reach the semi-finals.
"We have played very well at home, but we have lost a couple of games away, and this match is an away game where we have a chance to put the record straight," said Nosworthy.
"But the Unicorns are a very dangerous team. They have nothing to lose. They go out there and they express themselves with bat and ball, trying to impress.
"This is definitely a game we will not take lightly – we have to be up for every challenge. The two points are not on our minds – instead we are trying to put our plans into place to ensure we play quality cricket. If we can do that, then the rest, more often than not, takes care of itself."
Somerset have named 10 of the 11 who played in the defeat against Middlesex at Lord's, with Arul Suppiah the man omitted. Kieswetter, Thomas, Adam Dibble and George Dockrell could play.
