Somerset Rebels duo Jason Doyle and Josh Grajczonek have both been named in the Australia squad for this summer's Speedway World Cup.
Rebels captain Doyle and Grajczonek are in a team of ten for the Aussies, who have finished as runners-up for the past four years.
Grajczonek is one of three debutants alongside Dakota North and Aaron Summers.
Reigning world champion Chris Holder will captain the side, which also includes Troy Batchelor, Ty Proctor, Darcy Ward, Davey Watt and Cameron Woodward.
Australia will select from that 10-rider squad for the first semi-final, to be held in Poland on July 13. They will race against the home side, Russia and Latvia.
Somerset, meanwhile, missed out on victory in front of the Sky Sports cameras at the Oaktree Arena on Tuesday night.
In a thrilling match against Edinburgh Monarchs, the visitors clawed their way back from an eight-point deficit after heat 10 to win 46-44 after a nail-biting final heat.
The Rebels went into that final heat knowing they needed a 4-2 win to salvage a draw, or a 5-1 success from Doyle and Grajczonek to take victory on the night.
Monarchs rider Jozsef Tabaka was excluded after falling on the back straight following a collision with Grajczonek.
But despite a two-on-one advantage for the Rebels in the re-run, Craig Cook denied them with a masterful ride to win the heat and secure the 3-3 draw needed to maintain Edinburgh's two-point advantage.
Cook ended with 12 points for his night's work, while young Aussie sensation Max Fricke also starred with 10+1.
For Somerset, Jason Doyle scored 12+1, Alex Davies 9, Josh Grajczonek 7+2, Stefan Nielsen 6, Kyle Newman 5, Nick Morris 3+2, and Tom Perry 2+1.
Although the Rebels were beaten on the night, they earned many plaudits from a nationwide television audience for their all-action display, and the quality of the Oaktree Arena track.
Many top riders took to Twitter to praise the Highbridge circuit, including Poole Pirates' Grand Prix star Darcy Ward, who described it as "the best track".
