A date has been set for a public inquiry into controversial plans to build a 36 home housing estate on Maynard Terrace in Clutton.
Social housing landlord Curo, formerly known as Somer Housing, has appealed against Bath and North East Somerset Council's refusal of the scheme.
The application, where 50% of the new properties would be affordable, has divided the village with those wanting more homes saying there is a desperate need for new properties in the village with those against it concerned about the loss of Greenfield land outside of the housing boundary and major highway changes which would have seen a busy main road redirected down a cul-de-sac.
The inquiry is listed for one day, Tuesday, June 18, starting at 10am. It will take place at Bath City Football Club, Twerton Park, Twerton, Bath, BA2 1DB. Most public inquiries last for one day, but more complex cases can last two or more days.
A guide to taking part in a planning inquiry is available on the Planning Inspectorate website - www.planning-inspectorate.gov.uk.
The appeal reference number is APP/F0114/A/13/2189953/NWF.
