The Western Gazette has been nominated for Weekly Newspaper of the Year (paid for) for the second year running.
Last year the newspaper secured the title at the EDF Energy South West Media Awards.
This year it has been nominated again in the category.
In addition, reporter Claire Smyth is in the shortlist for newcomer of the year and print journalist of the year (weekly).
Laura Jones is in the running for news photographer of the year.
Meanwhile, journalist Rob Golledge, who left the Western Gazette in February, has been nominated for print journalist of the year (weekly) for the work he did while based in Yeovil.
The winners are expected to be announced at a ceremony in June.
Editor Emma Slee said: "We are thrilled to have received so many nominations yet again."
