MATCH REPORT: Frome Town 0 Arlesey Town 1 Frome Town secured their survival in Evo-Stik League Southern Premier despite suffering a narrow loss at home to Arlesey Town. Defeat for Bedworth United at St Albans City means the Robins are safe for another season, despite Stuart Farrell handing the visitors victory at the AlderSmith Stadium. After edging out Frome in the Red Insure Cup final earlier this month, Arlesey again proved a well-organised side. Although Frome had equal possession in the first half, their only real chance fell to Mark Cooper but he volleyed over after being set up by Ricky Hulbert. As the match settled, the visitors started to look dangerous and Kim Forsyth shot into the side-netting before Frome keeper Darren Chitty was forced into a save at full-stretch to push a low shot round the post. With the scores level at the break, Frome started the second half brightly and had two efforts charged down in the first minute, with Arlesey responding with a shot into the side-netting and skimming the Robins' bar shortly afterwards. Frome had a goal ruled out for offside ten minutes after the restart, while Chitty brought off two great saves in quick succession at the other end to deny Chris Morish and Forsyth. The game swung from end-to-end, with both sides looking for the winner, but Arlesey snatched the points eight minutes from time. A superbly-struck right-wing corner found substitute Farrell at the far post and his close-range header gave Chitty no chance. Arlesey's Forsyth was shown a second yellow in the 84th minutes for a lunge on Dave Gilroy and although Frome had most of the attacking play from that point on, they never really troubled keeper Nat Abbey as the visitors held on for their win. Josh Brigham was awarded the H&B Tyres man of the match award from match sponsors The Ultras.
