Hallowe'en fans with a flair for pumpkin carving can enter a new competition launched in the Western Gazette this month.
The contest, open to all ages, invites readers to send in photos of their best-carved pumpkin. It will be judged by Sherborne brothers Robin and Kevin Dibben, who have become famous for carving intricate pumpkin designs ahead of the annual festival.
Winners have the chance to win a specially-made pumpkin, expertly carved by the brothers, in time to be lit and displayed in pride of place on October 31.
Robin Dibben, 20, said "We're really looking forward to seeing all the different designs."
Entries should be e-mailed to picturedesk@westgaz.co.uk, marked "Pumpkin Competition" in the subject heading, by Monday, October 29, at 8am.
The entry needs to include a jpg photo of the pumpkin, the full name, age, location, and contact details of the entrant.
