Phil lands Manor's top prize

Phil Baskerville won the latest Glaston Manor match when it was held on the river Brue at Lydford and Barton Road.

Baskerville's haul of 14lb 15oz was well clear of runner- up Jamie Stevens, who finished with 11lb 10oz.

Third-placed Tony Berry caught a load of 7lb, one pound more than Martin Willmott in fourth. Tony Cinicola was fifth with 4lb 10oz.

Willmott, Stevens, Nick Hughes, and Jason Twining won the Nicholls team prize after collecting 17 points out of 20 and finishing with a weight of 23lb 4oz.

Runners-up spot went to Baskerville, Colin Lambert, Bernie Wingrove and Pete Kirby, whose 11 points went alongside a 21lb 12oz haul.

The next match to be held will be the Upper Brue Championship on Sunday. Contact match secretary John Ogden to enter.
