Candles left unattended started a Christmas Day fire at a home near Bridgwater yesterday.
A crew from the town said a small fire had broken out in the chimney alcove at Northbrook Farm, Catcott, at around 5.30pm.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said an unattended candle display caused the fire, which was dampened down using buckets of water.
