Actress Melissa George has honoured her British ancestors – after buying them a headstone. Australian Melissa, 36, organised for the headstone to be built and installed at the graves of her "long lost" English family. Melissa's ancestors were from Taunton in Somerset but when they died they were not given gravestones. So TV and film star Melissa arranged for one to be made and put in place at their local churchyard to give them "an identity". The headstone was made for Frederick Charles Thames (1889-1920) and Emma Helen Mounsher (1889-1918) – parents to Lillian, Reginald and Florence. The stone also has a message saying: "In loving memory from their Australian family". Melissa, 36, posted a photo of the headstone at an unnamed churchyard in Taunton on social networking site Twitter. She tweeted: "My long lost ancestors in Taunton, Somerset, didn't get a headstone. So we had one made. Now they have an identity." The actress is well-known for her role as Angel Parrish in Australian soap opera Home and Away and featured in episodes of US sitcom Friends. She has also starred in movies including Derailed, The Amityville Horror and 30 Days of Night, as well as TV shows including Alias and Lie To Me.
