SOMERSET County Council have cancelled their full council meeting due to the current flooding in the area.
The meeting was scheduled to be held this morning but has been called off after more than 30mm of rain fell in 12 hours over some parts of the county last night.
As of 8am this morning, the Environment Agency had 24 warnings and 50 alerts in place across the South West.
The council was due to discuss Somerset Olympians, Paralympians and volunteers, the Smart Office project, recycling and residents parking.
They have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
