The traffic lights have vanished from Cheddar Market Cross, along with all the ugly scaffolding.
Repairs which cost in the region of £60,000 are now done, the majority of that being paid by the insurance firm of the taxi that hit the monument seven months ago.
Wells Cathedral Stonemasons finished the work on schedule on Friday lunchtime. They even managed to do extra work in that time like replacing corrugated metal panels in the roof.
The cross was struck on March 31 and traffic lights were put up for 94 days while the structure was pulled back into place.
The roof was within 2mm of collapse because that's how much of it rested on the supporting pillars after the accident. Wood-coated steel bollards were then put in to offer some protection to the 15th-century monument.
A brief respite from the traffic lights came before phase two of repair started, lasting 54 days.
Cheddar Parish Council is grateful to the Cheddar-based stonemasons, Benjamin + Beauchamp architects of Wedmore and all who have helped in the restoration.
The traffic lights have proved controversial. Stone workers were shouted at by motorists, zebra crossings in the village were mistakenly blocked by a county council contractor and shops have complained of loss of business.
