Striker Paddy Madden arrives at Yeovil Town wanting to prove he can be a force to be reckoned with in npower League One.
With Gozie Ugwu returning to Reading for treatment on a hamstring injury that could leave him sidelined for three to four weeks, the Glovers moved quickly to sign the Carlisle United man on a month's loan.
Madden has endured a tough time with the Cumbrians since switching from Bohemians on transfer deadline day in January 2011, making 28 substitute appearances and just seven starts in a period dogged by two serious injuries.
The 22-year-old caught the eye of Scottish giants Rangers whilst rising to prominence in his homeland and is now determined to make an impact in English football after a dream debut for the Glovers. Madden scored twice for the Glovers in their 3-1 defeat of Colchester United.
He said: "I have been at Carlisle a year and a half now and had two bad injuries that pushed me back a little bit but I need that run of games to show people what I am about.
"The gaffer (Yeovil boss Gary Johnson) has been watching me for a while and it is nice to come somewhere where the gaffer knows what you're all about and knows what you can add to the team.
"I class myself as a goal scorer but I like to get in behind the defence and not give them a second on the ball.
"I class myself as a danger man so hopefully I can show them what I am all about and produce the goods with Yeovil.
"I have enjoyed Carlisle, there are great people there and hopefully in the future I can get that run of games for them that I have always wanted.
"I will have to prove myself here first and that I can play in League One and score goals. I will just take each game as it comes and hopefully show people what I can do, play well for the team, add some goals and get back to the other end of the table with Yeovil."
Madden first caught Johnson's eye during Carlisle's 4-0 defeat at Brentford last season before scoring the middle of three United goals when they defeated Yeovil 3-2 days later.
The Republic of Ireland under-23 international said: "I need to get that run of game and show people what I can do and hopefully I can get that confidence. The gaffer here has given me the chance to show what I can do and I jumped at the chance to come down."
Madden admitted the move came about quickly on Wednesday, but revealed he still had time to talk to former Glover Andy Welsh who headed north in the summer of 2011.
"Andy had nothing but good things to say about the club so that was a good thing and he told me a good few things about here," said Madden. "I scored against Yeovil last year up at Carlisle so hopefully I can now score for Yeovil."
On potentially staying for longer than a month, Madden added: "It's a great club, everyone has made me feel welcome, who knows what it will lead to?
"I am just happy to be playing somewhere, getting the games and showing people what I can do.
"I want to keep on my toes, keep putting in good performances and we will go from there. The gaffer here has given me a chance and I want to repay him."
