RAIL enthusiasts are being urged to get a ticket to ride of the annual charter train fundraiser between Bishops Lydeard station and Minehead. The 20 mile journey is a collaboration between the West Somerset Railway and the Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust. The trip, on August 17, will be led by one of only two surviving number 88 steam engines, designed as working heavy freight trains on the main line which ran via Radstock, Midsomer Norton, Shepton Mallet and Evercreech. Tickets for £12 can be bought from SDRT, "Halcyon", West Road. Bridport, Dorset DT6 6AA, cheques made payable to Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust.
