TICKETS for comedian Jason Manford's two shows in Yeovil are expected to sell out within hours when they go on sale on Thursday morning.
Mancunian joker Manford has announced two dates at the Octagon Theatre on April 4 and 5 next year as part of his new tour called First World Problems.
The show marks a welcome return to stand-up for Manford, who ventured into opera and theatre after winning ITV1 celebrity talent show Born to Shine.
"Some of you might think I've had a career change what with all the opera and musical theatre I've been doing lately," said the former One Show host.
"Not a chance. I am excited to be getting back to what I really love the most – stand up."
Manford is promising "a wealth of comedy anecdotes, misunderstandings and audience banter" on stage at the Octagon.
The 32-year-old, who shot to fame as a guest and team captain on Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats, isn't the only big-name comedian to confirm dates at the Octagon Theatre in 2014.
Russell Kane will also perform at the Yeovil venue on Sunday, February 16, as part of his nationwide tour Smallness.
Octagon arts and entertainment manager Adam Burgan said securing dates for both comedians was a major coup for the area.
"We are delighted these top names are coming to the Octagon Theatre and Somerset," said Mr Burgan.
"It is a great venue and I am sure the audience will have a great night, but people will have to book their tickets quickly."
Kane says he will be analysing the country's obsession with smallness on his tour, sharing his thoughts on how Brits like to keep things small when life gets big.
Tickets cost £22.50 for Manford's shows, and go on sale from 10am on Thursday morning. Tickets for Kane's show are already on sale at £17.50.
