PGA professional John Goymer joined a team of three amateurs to win the CIA Insurance Radyr Golf Club Pro-am in Cardiff last week.
Goymer, from Babcary, and his team – sponsored by BPU Accountants – won the competition by a single point after recording a score of 83.
The amateur trio won Titleist Scotty Cameron Putters, while former Mendip Golf Club professional Goymer picked up his second tournament cheque of the season.
In the individual competition, only five pros scored under par, with former European Tour player Liam Bond top of the standings on four under. Goymer's level-par 69 earned him a tie for sixth spot.
Goymer, who does not currently have a club attachment, continues his full-time playing this season with a trip to Oake Manor Golf Club this week for the Total Triumph Classic.
This is the first of the Order of Merit tournaments, which sees a cut after 18 holes as the top 40 players go through to the final day.
