Cheddar Running Club's Greg Brock came home second at the Cheddar Gorge 10k on Sunday.
The cross-country race was won by Adam Grant in 39mins 51secs, with Brock coming home in 41:22.
"It was a great race," said Brock. "Very well organised, amazing scenery and finished next to all the coffee shops in the gorge which made the finish a lot more pleasant."
Also in action for Cheddar RC were Jenny McNamara (52:58), Jason Woodcock (59:24) and Cath Frith (64:04).
The event was organised by Relish Running Races and supported by the National Trust, starting above the gorge and finishing with a fast descent.
A repeat of the race will take place on Sunday, June 23, with other distances also available.
