Somerset Rebels rider Tom Perry has been named in the Great Britain squad for this weekend's Under-21 Speedway World Cup semi-final in Poland.
Perry will be part of the GB squad to take on Sweden, Russia and the host nation on Saturday, alongside captain Kyle Howarth, Ashley Morris and Adam Ellis.
The young Brits will face a tough test if they are to make it to the final, with only the semi-final winners assured of progressing.
Denmark have already booked their place as winners of the first semi-final in Germany last month.
The two semi-final winners will be joined in the final by host nation, the Czech Republic, and the highest scoring second-placed side.
Australia, who included Somerset's Alex Davies and Nick Morris in their quartet, picked up 42 points when finishing second to Denmark in that first semi-final.
GB co-boss Phil Morris said: "We're under no illusions that it's going to be a tough event, but we've gone for a young line-up who will be determined to give it their best shot.
"It will be great experience for the riders, the opposition will be tough but we will go there with a very positive attitude."
It has been a busy week for Perry, who won the National League Bronze Helmet title on Sunday after getting the better of Rebels team mate Stefan Nielsen.
Perry and Nielsen were representing their respective National League sides, Isle of Wight and Mildenhall.
Somerset Rebels have no home match this Friday. They are next in action at Scunthorpe Scorpions on Bank Holiday Monday, before hosting the return encounter at the Oaktree Arena on Wednesday, May 29 (7.30pm).
