Frome's Aaron Butterfield is hoping to continue his successful season close to home this weekend when the Wylye Valley Pony Club hosts a full card of pony races at Wincanton Racecourse.
Saturday's event is being run like a normal race meeting and will include seven or eight races over four to eight furlongs, from beginners to more experienced young jockeys.
Butterfield, who has been in the winners' enclosure after six of his ten races this year, will use the event as part of his preparations for the Racetech Novice Riders Championship, which takes place at Garthorpe in Leicestershire on June 2.
