Seven balls of fluff have been sighted on the Bishop's Palace Moat, in Wells.
Resident swans Wynn and Brynn revealed seven cygnets to the world last week.
The pair only nested at the Bishop's Palace in March and have set the record for bringing a family to the moat.
Sarah Moore, acting general manager at the palace, said: "Naturally both Wynn and Brynn are being very protective of their nest at the moment and we keep seeing Brynn chasing away ducks, gulls and crows.
"We've noticed that he particularly doesn't like the colour white, as it could possibly be another swan threatening their cygnets. The white ducks on the moat are finding themselves in deep water if they happen to swim past the nest at the moment as Brynn moves very fast.
"We should stress it is really important that visitors keep a good distance from Wynn and Brynn and the new cygnets in the first few weeks as they adjust to their new home on the moat and we especially need to ask people not to throw them bread at the moment as it is not particularly good for their developing stomachs.
"They are getting plenty of food from the moat and mum and dad. Other than that, enjoy the sight."
