The roar of old engines from bygone eras will echo across central Somerset for a popular charity vintage car run next month.
Organisers of the Vale of Avalon Vintage Vehicle Road Run are appealing for entries for this year's event, to be held on Saturday, June 1.
The run is organised by Den and Daphne Stone, of Glastonbury and this year it will raise money for Happy Landings Animal rescue rehoming and welfare centre.
Vintage vehicle owners are being invited to book their place in the 20-mile run, which will take the drivers from the Actis Estate in Glastonbury to Burnham-on-Sea.
The event is open to any vehicle at least 20 years old.
The vehicles will begin arriving at Bretenoux Road, Glastonbury from 2.30pm, with many being in position by 4pm, giving the public time to look at the vehicles, buy a programme and make donations to charity.
The drivers and passengers will then leave for Burnham-on-Sea at 5pm.
"This will be our 20th year, and we are hoping that people who have taken part in the event before, and some new faces will get involved," said Mrs Stone.
"We've got a few people wanting to take part from further afield but we're sure there must be some people who have vintage cars in the Street and Glastonbury area who could get involved and use their vehicles to help raise money for such a good cause."
Trophies are given for vehicles in six classes: cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, military, emergency and American vehicles.
