Four of the world's top darts stars are set to compete in Weston-Super-Mare, when the town hosts the inaugural Anglo-Dutch Masters later this year.
Premier League star James Wade and Bristol's Steve Brown will represent England in their clash with the Dutch duo of Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre on December 6.
Wade is the second most successful player in the history of the Professional Darts Corporation, with seven major televised titles to his name, while van Barneveld has been crowned as World Champion on five separate occasions.
Michael van Gerwen is widely regarded as the hottest property in the sport right now. The 24-year-old is leading the way in the hugely popular Premier League and has risen to number two in the world rankings following his recent success, which included a run to the final of the World Championship in January.
And 'Mighty Mike' admitted his excitement at the announcement of the Somerset event, which will coincide with his preparations for next year's World Championship.
"This is going to be a great night and it will come at a great time," said the van Gerwen, the reigning World Grand Prix champion.
"It is just before the worlds so we will all be hitting top form and excitement will be building.
"I like the Holland versus England twist and Raymond and I will really want to win. Hopefully some of the crowd will be Dutch fans for the night."
Tickets are now on sale for the event, which will see local darts players get the chance to face the stars before the international dual between the professionals. Details of how to qualify will be released in due course.
Tickets are available directly from Hutton Moor Leisure Centre on 01934 425900, the box office on 08450 180 180 or at www.dartshop.tv and www.seetickets.com
