Yeovil Town will begin their npower League One play-off bid at Sheffield United on Friday night (7.45pm). The Glovers were beaten 3-2 in their final game of the regular season at Bury this afternoon, but still secured a best ever Football League finish of fourth. They will now travel to Bramall Lane to play the fifth-placed Blades on Friday evening, before hosting the second leg of the semi-final at Huish Park on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6 (1.30pm). Swindon Town will play Brentford in the other semi-final, and the final will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 19 (1.30pm). Ticket details for both legs of the play-off semi-final will be announced shortly. The Glovers will need to make a significant improvement on this afternoon's performance, which saw them fall 3-0 behind in the opening 32 minutes at Gigg Lane. Jonson Clarke-Harris netted the first two for the home side, before Nick Ajose made it 3-0 shortly after the half-hour mark. Yeovil improved in the second half, and a James Hayter header in the 58th minute gave them hope of a fightback. Kevin Dawson then pegged another goal back with a strike in stoppage time.Keep checking This is Somerset over the weekend for a full match report, reaction and play-off semi-final ticket details.
