Firefighters from Somerset were called to help free two cows trapped in an overturned trailer on the A303 yesterday.
One fire engine and the rescue tender from Yeovil were alerted at 1.40pm after a crash on the dual carriageway between South Petherton and Cartgate.
The driver was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived although the animals were trapped.
A specialist team from Bridgwater was later called to free the cows. The extent of their injuries was not known.
