Locals will have a chance to hear more about proposals to turn the derelict Highbridge Hotel and cattle market into homes and flats at a drop-in-session on Thursday.
Owner Derek Mead, of Mead Realisations, has submitted plans which could see the hotel converted into 54 houses and five flats.
One possible future use for the hotel is as accommodation for the YMCA. The scheme also includes a public-use multi-use games area.
The hotel suffered a catastrophic fire in 2008. The complex, high-profile, nature of the project has led to the setting up of the drop-in session from 3pm to 7.30pm on Thursday at Highbridge Community Hall, at which the public can question developers.
