Yeovil Town captain Jamie McAllister has been backed to be fit for the weekend with his manager joking his newborn twins are more of a concern to the defender.
The left back has failed to complete Yeovil's last two games, picking up an ankle injury against Bury before aggravating the same knock whilst blocking a shot at Shrewsbury Town.
Boss Gary Johnson referenced the Scot's remarkable recovery rate during the pair's time working together to explain why he had little concern at having no recognised left back cover available.
Young full back Nathan Ralph underwent minor knee surgery to remove a cyst on Monday, with midfielder Dominic Blizzard replacing McAllister, whose wife gave birth earlier in the season.
Johnson said: "Jamie McAllister has played 300 League games for me, at least, and 298 of them he wasn't available for me the day before the game but has always come through.
"He is a man, he knows his body and his twin babies are causing him more trouble than his injury. We need him, he is a stalwart, our captain and a proper footballer. I am sure he will be okay for the weekend."
Johnson added it was now up to his team to maintain a recent run of form that has brought four wins from their last five games.
"That momentum can soon stop after the next defeat," he said. "We cannot think too far ahead, we are just thinking about the next game at Crewe Alexandra who will be a difficult side to play, similar to Shrewsbury.
"I thought we were more assured in our play on Tuesday and that was what really pleased me. We nearly demoralised a team and we have just got to go into each of the next games and enjoy it.
"The more results the boys get, the more our confidence will grow. When you have got strikers in form you feel you have always got a chance, but we have got to go game by game and get a run together."
