Tom Perry will play no further part in Cases Somerset Rebels' quest for speedway silverware this season.
Perry suffered a broken thumb and scaphoid while riding for Dudley on Tuesday night, and has been ruled out of tonight's League Cup Final decider at Ipswich Witches as well as the two legs of the Premier League Grand Final this weekend.
The Rebels are also without captain Jason Doyle, who is recovering from a neck injury suffered in the Premier League Riders' Championship in Sheffield a fortnight ago.
Rebels promoter Debbie Hancock said: "To say that Tom is gutted to be missing out on these matches would be an understatement.
"He has said all season that he wanted to emulate Doyley, but I don't think he had this particular way in mind, what with Doyley suffering injury and missing out on the finals as well."
Lewis Kerr will come in as Perry's replacement for the final three matches.
Tonight Somerset go to Ipswich and defend a 14-point lead after last week's 53-39 win over the Witches at the Oaktree Arena.
They could then return to Somerset as League Cup holders for the first leg of the Premier League Grand Final against Scunthorpe Scorpions tomorrow night.
The Rebels host the Scorpions at the Oaktree Arena on Friday evening (7.30pm), and will be looking to build up another healthy lead to defend in the away leg on Sunday afternoon (4pm).
