Police in Beaminster are appealing for witnesses after a fail to stop road traffic collision in the town.
The collision between a car, thought to be silver, and pedestrian occurred at the junction of Fleet Street and North Street at approximately 4pm on Friday, February 8.
Police say the pedestrian, a 13-year-old girl from Bridport, was crossing the road with a friend when she came into contact with the vehicle as it reversed back a short distance.
She sustained minor injuries in the incident and did not require hospital treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, believed to be a woman with long blonde hair, left the scene without leaving any details.
PC Sara Mackay, of Bridport police, said: "The driver was stationary at the junction waiting to pull out when the girls crossed the road. The car then reversed back a short distance striking the arm of one of the girls.
"I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police.
"I would urge the driver to make contact with the police. All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence."
