A woman was cut free from one of two cars involved in a collision with a bus on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington this morning. The collision happened near the Rumwell Farm Shop at around 8.30am this morning. A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said crews cut off the roof of the vehicle to remove the casualty. She was taken to hospital by ambulance, but her injuries are not reported to be life-threatening. The bus, a First double-decker, had several passengers on board when the collision happened. The fire service said one of the passengers was treated at the scene for a neck injury by ambulance staff. The road was closed for more than three hours, but had reopened in both directions by lunchtime today.
