Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah could be in line for a loan switch to Yeovil Town after manager Gary Johnson revealed the youngster was training at Huish Park.
The boss is casting his eye over the 22-year-old he briefly worked with at Peterborough United ahead of a potential temporary swoop.
Quick front-man Appiah has started once for his npower Championship parent club this season, as well as making a handful of substitute appearances.
He first sprung to prominence in 2011, smashing 35 goals in 33 appearances for non-League Margate before signing for the Eagles a year ago.
Johnson said: "We have got Kwesi Appiah with us from Crystal Palace at the moment, training with us.
"He has got that raw pace, he has got that good touch and I do know him so I know what he will bring personality-wise to the squad.
"He has had a couple of games for Palace and he came off the bench against Stoke City in the FA Cup recently."
Attacker Keanu Marsh-Brown is expected to leave Yeovil this week, with the Western Gazette understanding his departure will be confirmed by tomorrow.
The Glovers are without a game on Saturday because of Oldham Athletic's continued involvement in the FA Cup.
Next Tuesday's visit of MK Dons will end a 17-day wait for competitive action for the Glovers after icy conditions forced the postponement of last Saturday's game against Preston North End.
Johnson joked: "We're all nicking a living, aren't we? We're all getting paid for doing nothing. It's another free weekend when we don't want a free weekend.
"We'd rather be in the cup than not in it and it just so happens we're up against teams that are still in the cup.
"But again it won't be long until we play them, it's not like it will be end of the season stuff. It just means you have a break of ten days and have four games in a short space of time."

See tomorrow's Western Gazette for more on Kwesi Appiah's potential move to Yeovil Town.
