Fire crews were called after a washing machine caught fire at a bungalow in Buckland St Mary at 9.20pm last night.
The fire was confined to the washing machine and caused slight smoke damage to the room.
Crews used a thermal imaging camera and also vented the property. The cause of the fire was accidental.
