A pensioner has been left angered after fly-tippers dumped a fridge freezer outside her home.
Retired Marion Dash, 65, found the kitchen appliance had been left on her driveway last week.
Now she is struggling to get rid of the eyesore. Because the fridge freezer is on private land, South Somerset District Council is not responsible for clearing up the mess.
Mrs Dash, who lives in Yorks Place, Yeovil, said: "I woke up and pulled back the curtains and could see this thing on my driveway.
"When I went outside I found it was this big double door fridge. I couldn't believe someone would just dump it there.
"The frustrating thing is that I called the council and asked them if they could take it but they said as it's private land it's not up to them to collect it.
"It's so big it's not like I can take it anywhere as it's so heavy. It is wrong that I may well end up having to pay someone to take it away."
Last week the Western Gazette reported that fly-tipping had increased by 55 per cent across south Somerset despite a fall nationally.
A South Somerset District Council spokesman said: "We understand the frustrations of residents who have items illegally fly-tipped on their private land and are left with the responsibility of someone else's irresponsible actions.
"If you find items fly-tipped on your land, you should try to dispose of them via a contracted waste collection service or dispose of the item at your nearest household waste recycling centre.
"If you cannot manage to dispose of the item by yourself, ask friends or neighbours if they will help you to do so. If you come across evidence of where the fly-tip has come from, contact the council and an enforcement officer can investigate the matter."
